I’m looking out of the window at a very grey sky but honestly bursting to share a story with you about a huge ray of uncontrollable sunshine that is bathing the lives of four friends bringing them heart-bursting happiness.

Well, this week I need to share something with you, but you need to be quick on this one because when social distancing ends it’s not going to be as good. Last November I bought, as a Christmas treat, tickets to Hairspray for April 21 starring Michael Ball at my favorite theatre, London’s Coliseum, we were literally counting the days.

I finally bought Wendy the much promised personalised ‘Wendy’ bag for Easter this year.

On Tuesday night we had a family outing to support Claudia in her school play. It was a production of Princess Ivona by a Poilsh playwrite Witold Gombrowicz.

This is my nephew Jack – supporting Team GB but anxiously waiting for Usain Bolt to perform in the 200m final. Wendy and her family went to watch it all on the big screen in Hyde Park.

My 19 year old step daughter Amelia graduated from her Secretarial College course this week.

For our dad’s birthday Wendy organsied a fossil hunting expedition to Lyme Regis – what more could a father ask for?!

This Dolls House was made for me by my Dad in 1964. It was my Christmas present, it was love at first sight and probably where my passion for moving furniture around and nesting came from. 47 years later it is still being played with and loved.

Amelia said goodbye to her school days this weekend… it felt so odd for us and I can’t believe that her 2 years at Millfield 6th form have whizzed by so quickly.
