Flowers

Flowers are such a treat to have in your home and I’m convinced they lift your spirits.

We all have our favourites but if you are looking for impact I don’t think peonies can be beaten.

At their best and most cost effective in the Spring and early Summer but the story of their creation goes like this.

Paeon was a student of Asclepius the Greek God of medicine and healing. Asclepius though became jealous of his pupil and tried to kill him, but along came Zeus and saved Paeon from Asclepius’s wrath by turing him in to a flower. Bit drastic, but as ‘Anthea’ is Greek for Lady of Flowers I know these things.
