Farewell Blue Peter

A happy but sad day as the last episode of Blue Peter was broadcast from BBC Television Centre. Diane Lousie Jordan, Janet Ellis and I (along with the current Blue Peter team) attempted the hoola hooping record… and we did it!!

A big shock however was the rundown state of the iconic Blue Peter Garden… I have such happy memories of it in its heyday and remember putting up the framework for the plants to climb behind Petra’s statue and sticking my hands in the wet concrete to celebrate my time on the show. I wish the whole team all the best of luck up in Manchester… but it certainly is the end of an era.
