Beautiful Homes

My passion for homemaking sees me trawling websites, magazines and books endlessly for inspiration and new ideas. There are some fantastic, visually gorgeous sites out there, which we could all take hints from.  You just have to choose the look that works for you.

Take some inspiration fromhttp://www.rockettstgeorge.co.uk/index.asp – voted by The Sunday Times as one of the top ten best home online stores.

Of course you can’t have a beautiful home without a bit of organisation. Just looking at this website (www.theholdingcompany.co.uk) makes me feel calm and organised. Remember, investing in organising base-camp means you can pack so much more into your life outside of the home because it runs like clock work.

Zara Home (http://www.zarahome.com/) offers excellent choice and of course you can visit the physical stores and get a real grasp of what will look good. I popped in to the Regent Street store recently and adore their new collection. The coral is amazing, such a beautiful colour, and I think underused. I saw a similar collection in Florida last year by an American designer for literally 6 times the amount.  The beach look is one of my favourites, and one I try and integrate into land locked Surrey!

Any little extras; be it trinkets, prints, frames or pots can add something spectacular to a pretty blank canvas. I find this site (http://www.jonnyssister.co.uk/) to be full of such wonderful ideas
