Dyslexia Action Awards

I recently attended the Dyslexia Action Awards Dinner, a black tie event in the ballroom at The Dorchester Hotel in London. I felt so honoured to be given an award for being a role model and supporting their work whenever possible. My beautiful Waterford glass bowl was presented to me by the actor and adventurer Charlie Boorman, who is the charity’s president. I must admit I was glued to his motorbike adventures with Ewan McGregor. It was a memorable evening, made hilarious for all concerned by Brian Conley. Jokes just ooze out of the man. Nick Knowles mingled with a host of female fans and Theo Paphitis kept away from anyone who wanted to share their latest business idea with him. Auctioneer Jonny Gould, who has turned this difficult job into an art form and is the best you’ll ever witness, helped to raise thousands of pounds for this wonderful cause.
